What to do with fabric square scraps

Got scraps?

If you are a quilter, chances are you have a box or bin of fabric scraps. Pieces that range from skinny strips to larger squares and rectangles. I have been toying with options to use those scrap fabrics in an organized manner and finally got a pattern done. This pattern uses charm squares or yardage for the main background and base fabric + various size scrappy squares. You can also use scraps for the background if you have a bunch in one colorway. Not matter your selection, you can create this scrappy star block with any color combination.

Just a simple pattern for beginners to use up scraps and create a fun star quilt block or pattern.

This block finishes at 14" x 14" square. One block makes a nice table topper, 3 blocks makes a nice table runner, and 16 blocks make a 54" x 54" throw quilt. The more scraps you have, the bigger the quilt project you can make.
